Hi , just got cod 4 for the ps3 and when i try to go online this happens...i select multiplayer, then i select find game...Downloading Game settings pops up in a box on the screen....and stays there...i go back and do it again and its the same everytime...why is this?....if i select the next option down it just locks the machine up.....and the party invites just let me accept or send an invite then i get the downloading game settings box again and again....anybody help please.....as its perfect on my 360.

Check your disc.


Restore Default Settings.


Could be something wrong with the game.

Checked the disc and that looks fine...no scratches...did you mean restore default settings on the PS3?

It was doing this to me about a month ago but is just stopped and hasn't done it since.

While it was doing it t you did you have to wait ages for the donloading game Settings message to go? do you have any tips on making it go any quicker? i know this may sound funny but i tried it last night and as soon as it went to the downloading gane settings screen..i switched my joypad off...left it a couple of mins and it was fine....strange.....
