Stamina battery not working with psp slim?

I just bought a 2200mah stamina battery at walmart and have a problem. I put it in the psp slim but it's not charging. The LED doesn't come on and the battery status just says external power. Ive removed the battery and a/c cord several times but nothing changes. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have a Sony battery or one of those crappy 'no name' batteries?

Sony one from Wal-Mart. I tried to measure Vdc from the + and - pins but it was in the
-mVdc range. Could it be dead for good?

did you push it in until it clicks? that's how you know when the battery is in.

I pushed it so hard that it didn't want to come out. The bottom of the battery first then the top until there was no more movement.

Wall-mart is crap battries I bought one there and it was really crap did't work well. Go get one from EBGames those ones work very well there behind the counter so you have to ask them for it

i bought mine at ebgames and it didnt work i dont think its the seller they just have some faulty ones
