Hello everyone me and my brother are looking to mod are wii we have a newer wii game system and we did the serial tester and it said GC2-D2C chip set so right now we ordered a wii screw driver and a Argon chip for it so as we read, i hope we made the right choice? on the Argon chip do we have to upgrade it? and what if we dont just install it and try to play a back up game will it not work, and if you have to update it what else do we need? thank you sorry for this being so long. thank you from both of us

You are going to want to update the Modchip.

There have already been 4 updates for the ARGON already,

1.2 which has fixed freezing issues that the original firmware had.

1.3 which installs firmware to run Imported games (4 additional wires must be installed)

1.4 is supposed to fix some issues that Game Cube games had.

I am sure plenty more will be released in the future as well.

The ARGON Modchip will come with a FLAT ribbon cable that goes from the Modchip to the outside of the Wii case. At the end of that ribbon cable you will use a Injectus Jtag USB Programmer to update the Modchip.

You will need to buy the Injectus Jtag USB Argon Programmer to update the Modchip.

wow you are great help bought my Argon chip from ebay and he is saying that it can be updated to 1.2 its that it is there Argon's that can not be updated past 1.2, i just wanted to know, thank you again i will order my Injectus Jtag from the site you linked me to, when i buy my Injectus Jtag does it come with the software? if not where can i get that.thanks again
