I am i a state of shock, I didnt even drop it that hard it was on a carpet and it was about a 3 and a half feet fall. Everything works fine except the UMD. It worked once after I dropped it but thats it. What the hell should I do? Can I take it to SONY? I dont think I have my reciept. Or should I trust these random stores on Jamaica Av. to fix my PSP. Need pointers.

No, the best solution is to hack the PSP and forget about UMD's!

sony wants proof of purchase
problem is i lost my reciept
if i talk to all my "tech savy" freinds they all say i can ask gamestop for a reciept and they'll just print one out
i dont want to look like a dumb@$$ so i need advice. do they print out recipts? (and the psp does have a bar code so im guessing they do print recipts or at least some sort of proof of purchase)
