i used to have a 3.80m33-5 custom firmware and my games worked perfectly but since i upgraded my PSP to 3.80m33 custom firmware my games started to lag. Is this because of my custom firmware?

Strage >_>
In fact the games should work better after updating to 3.90m33 >_>
Well enter the recovery mode :-

1. Completely shut down your PSP (Not stand-by)
2. Hold the "R" button (i.e right trigger) while starting your PSP ^_^
3. You are now on recovery mode
It should look something like THIS
And then go to "Configuration" and in "UMD mode" choose the option "Sony np9660" ^_^

Just change your CPU speed in games to 300MHz/333MHz and it should be less laggy.
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

Changing XMB speed is useless, even at 222MHz you're unlikely to manage to make it lag unless you've got a very resource heavy theme installed...

I'm getting lag as well, but haven't been playing ISOs as much with previous m33 CFW versions so not sure if this problem would have occurred earlier.
Tried changing the UMD mode, CPU speed is on default... but still getting lag. Kind of like FPS lag, and it is consistant with the memory card being read (memory card LED flashes, screen lags).
Is it possible the memory card is having trouble keeping up running the ISO/CSO where a UMD normally wouldn't? Should it make a difference if it's a CSO isn't of an ISO?
edit: all good, the game is on the 'lag list'.
downunder.

Hey guys, I'm new here, well straight to the point, playing some isos like gta lcs or the fast and the furious used to be lagging.
I solved my problem by converting my games in .cso to the uncompressed .iso
the psp lags because the cso is a compress iso, and some games at certain point need to uncompress some "files" such as music files etc..
Hope i helped
thanx
P.S. sorry for my english, im portuguese

Don't compress ISO's too much, just a mild amount or if at all...
Compressing ISO's degrades performance/gameplay...I usually run full-sized ISO's
