As it is apparent, I am new here, point and laugh if you must.
My problem is getting PSX games to play in a modded PSX. I found a mod chip lying around my house a few weeks back, odd occurrence, I know. I had somebody put in the chip, and they did. I went out and bought some Memorex CD-Rs that write at 52X. I try just straight-up burning the ISOs with Nero 7, but that doesn't work. I eventually find a CD-R Burner that can write at 4X, since thats needed for PSX games, and it still doesn't work. The PlayStation boots normal, but it tells me to insert a Playstation disc.
Note that I am not doing anything to patch these games, and I legally own a copy of each. What am I doing wrong?

How to burn PS1 backups. Follow this guide.
PS1 patches if needed.
