Hello
I just downloaded Mash TV series,a full season (25 episodes) about 46 minutes per episode. Now the question is there a way to mass convert from avi to DVD and i have just downloaded Medijoin to combine
the episodes once they are converted , i am thinking i can get 4 on a disk when i burn ?

If you happen to use the VSO program, 'ConvertXtoDVD', there is a freeware app called 'ConvertXBatch' that can be used.
When setting up the job in ConvertXtoDVD, instead of converting the file(s), you save the job as a 'project' file.
Multiple project files can be loaded into the batch program and it will feed each project for conversion as appropriate.
Of, course ConvertXtoDVD has to be set to output to a folder and not the optional burning step.
The batch program requires that 'Net' framework be installed.

Thanks attar
You may have saved me a ton of time, i guess a batch conversion would take alot longer, do you happen to know how many episodes i would get on a disk each episode is 174 kb
I have to use Mediajoin also to combine the episodes before burning, i do this after conversion ?

If you don't want to go the batch method, I would use 'DVD Flick' to convert the AVI's to DVD.
It lets you load each episode as a title and lets you select each title from a menu that it also generates for the DVD.
As I recall, MASH episodes were around thirty minutes each, so if you put five or six per disk, maximum, the quality would be ok.
DVD Flick includes a simple, concise guide, and the important point is that you set up the output with your video standard (PAL for EU or NTSC for North America).

It looks like the author no longer has that domain.
The steps are quite simple though.
The project files generated by ConVertXtoDVD (.xtodvd) are dragged onto the window of the batch program and it executes them sequentially.

BTW, the original link to 'planetmirror.com' is valid, it's the link to the Authors page that's kaput.

You created the Project files with ConvertXtoDVD, then loaded those files into the batch program and it wont run them?

I downloaded it again from my original link and it works fine.
The 'Start Conversion' button should not be greyed out or unavailable - even with nothing loaded.
No possibility that you are running 'VISTA'?

I wasn't aware (or forgot) that it needed Net Framework to run.
It provides the support structure required for some apps to run.

Attar
You stated that netframe work was needed for batch to run, in an early thread above.
"The batch program requires that 'Net' framework be installed."
