softmod xbox hang on some game but works fine with others

Hi,

I really need your helps here.

I recently softmoded my xbox using "Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v5.01". I think everything went fine. I can play many games transferred to hard drive, like halo 2, half life 2, etc. I can play video files, music, perfect.

However, some other games hang in the middle. For example, the Call of duty 3. I played it on the same xbox before softmoding. After the softmod, the game no longer playable in my xbox, no matter from the DVD or harddrive. It is the same retail game disc. When I created a new profile, the game just hang. After reboot, press the "start" button, the game hang. Same thing happened to a couple of other games as well.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Dear All:

I figured this out and would like to share it here. It may be apparent to veterans, but not apparent for a newbie.

I have clear the cache of the xbox in order to make some game playable: format x,y,z; delete everything in e:\cache.
