I am trying to burn the phantom menace and in the analyzing process it stops at 7 percent and gives me an error (cyclic redundancy check)? does this mean the disk has a scratch in it or something? I also tried to rip it in anydvd and i get an error as well?

"cyclic redundancy check" is many times due to scratched/dmaged disc, or just a bad press. Get another one. If your disc is messed up, you can have the lates updates for your decrypters, even future-unreleased ones, and it will still not help.The Phantom Menace is an old release, i doubt encryption is your problem.
Just because it plays okay, it doesn't mean is not damaged. Take it out and see if it has any visible junk that could be gently cleaned.If not, don't waste your time, change discs.
