Hello. Back in July I attempted to mod my Slim PSTwo by super-gluing the front and rear switches down...Obviously, not a smart thing to do. So I now have my PS2 which powers on and doesn't spin the disc, and it seems I need to purchase a new front reset switch. But will that do it? I glued down both the front AND the rear switches. Will just replacing the front PCB make it able to read discs again? Thanks.

Well I am no expert in knowing if the reset switch will help that, I think not, but who knows. I do know that nail polish remover with acetone will remove super glue, but you would have to be very careful to not spill on anything else and let it dry thoroughly before booting up again. Just use a q-tip and be very careful.

Thanks. I also tried that aluminum foil trick posted elsewhere. I won't know until Friday when I have access to a power cord (I've seen to have lost my own). If not, I guess I'll just buy a replacement and see what happens.
