WOW this site is great!!!!!!!
OK I'm new at this, started last week. I have burned about 15 different movies succesfully. I've read that axxo has not put out anything in some time. The movies I'm talking about are older and I believe they are authentic axxo's. I'm using WinAVI to convert and ConvertXtoDVD to burn. For some reason WinAVI doesn't burn well for me, but it is the fastest at converting. And it has done well for most everthing except aXXo. Since aXXo torrents are the most available and most reliable(as far as I can tell) as older ones go. I would like to figure out how to use WinAVI to convert his stuff. ConvertXtoDVD takes almost twice as long.

The picture is crystal clear, audio is great. But during high speed scenes or sometimes when scenes change quickly I get big colored blocks. When I use ConvertXtoDVD on the same AVI...No problem, just takes forever. This has only happened to aXXo AVIs. With others, WinAVI does great. I have also tried the "bad" disk in diffrent DVD players...same result. I burn at no faster than 4x. I may be wrong(well probabaly am) but I think I have isolated the problem. I just don't know how to resolve it.

Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

i used to use WinAVI a lot but found it to be basically, pap. Pixelation etc. So i switched to ConvertXtodvd, and DVD Flick too (free). I have a Quad Core machine now and ConvertXtodvd still takes ages. DVD Flick also takes ages but the wait is worth it instead of the crap that WinVI puts out.

That's funny. The problem you have isolated is that WinAVI is an inferior product.

Also note all aXXo stuff is always 700MB regardless of running time, hence longer movies will pixilate.

Well..........Thats what I was afraid of. Looks like I have 2 options: 1 find better quality AVIs and use WinAVI. 2 Be more patient and use a better converter.

Well I guess there is a 3rd option also, Use better converter AND better AVIs.

Thanks for the input, any other help will be appreciated!!!
