I have been trying to get my PSP to run custom firmware for a little while and I have had one major problem. When I try to use my Pandora's battery and magic memory stick my screen just stays blank, and then it soon turns off, and sometimes turns back on. On my PSP the WLAN light doesn't come on but the others do. On a friends PSP all the lights turn on and still nothing comes up. I have tried two different memory sticks and remade each one multiple times and still no luck. I don't know what to do and I really want CFW.
Please Help!

ok, then you can use the easy installer by using a different pandora method via universal unbricker(even though it says unbricker doesnt mean your psp has to be bricked for it to work).

First change the battery back to normal before following this method or use another battery.

Just get your friends psp with CFW and use this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610312.

I've already tried that, as well as a few other guides and installers, and I still get the same results.

are you sure you have not missed a step? this guide should be working, including its files, and I have used it a couple of times with no problem.

I dont know, I tried it, and Im pretty sure I dint miss any steps. The only thing that might of happened would be that we messed up something when making the Pandora's battery. We snipped the right pin though and it seems to be working right.

ok well you can use the normal unmodded battery with the guide without opening the battery up and hardmodding it. You can instead safely softmod it through the guide and safely turn it back to normal after.

well no, if it worked with his, then he can keep it just in case, or it depends on what battery you hardmodded, a slim battery or the phat. If it is a slim battery, then there is a way to fix it.

they also sell them in stores in case you want to replace it. :)

we modded a phat battery, and apparently there are two different ways to mod it, one that involves soldering wires, and one where you simply remove a pin, which we did. Im not sure if that has anything to do with it

yeah well idk what i can do for hardmodded phat psp batteries, I have never got to that point, I just did it by softmodding my battery, editing its serial.

and I know theres a way to unhardmod a psp slim battery but I'm not so sure for phat batteries, unless you solder the leg back.

well there is another way, since you have a hard modded battery and a memory stick.

its called Despertar Cementerio, and it will guide you to making the magic memory stick. Here is the guide. Follow it and use the hardmodded battery.
