Sungale DVD player "Wrong Disc" error

I've got a Sungale 2026 free from Cox Cable, my kid watched a couple movies no problem, I went to watch one it had just played and the logo screen says "loading" and then "wrong disc". For any disc, any TV hooked up to it, composite,s-video both get logo screen and thats it . Admittedly it's a cheap freebie player, useless manual, but what kind of error is that?
