I have a slim running 3.71m33-4 and have downloaded 2 separate cso files as a backup to a game I already have (GTA lcs). I should stress this was 2 separate downloads and not a similar issue to those threads where winrar opens a file to reveal multiple files.

How do I rejoin these 2 separate cso files into a single cso file that I can play?

I've searched this forum and have seen the guide on command line prompt - /b copy 1.cso + 2.cso etc, and have not managed to get this to work.

I know I could rip my umd as I have m33, but I've set myself the challenge of joining the cso's!

Any suggestions appreciated.

I think it is already in CSO Format so you won't be able to use WinRar on it...

Yeh - I already tried this without success.

Just to check - I highlighted both winrar files and then right click and extract?

I have investigated file splitting/joining apps (but haven't tried them yet). hjsplit is one. Anyone have experience of this approach?

Nope,it's definitely cso files.

I don't have the files on this pc so cannot confirm the full file names but it is something like gtalcs1.cso and gtalcs2.cso

Well... what you could do is take the first one with the 1 or the 0 number in it and right click and extract it and WinRar will do the rest...

if you have 2 .csos then someone has done a rip to split the game

unless you know exactly what they have done then there is no way for you to re-combine

why don't you simply dump GTA from the UMD you own? m33 has built in UMD dumper.

1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

Man i've been so blind - couldn't see the wood for the trees!

Thanks all - just as you all said winrar did everything without any fuss.
