Hi is there any program or a way to tell you what region an iso is or a cd with iso on it?.........cheers

ive never tried HbxRegionTool for a wii game.. but it works for xbox360 iso's.

give that a shot.

I think (but in not 100% sure) that if you open the file in brick blocker it should tell you the region. If not try regionfrii...I'm pretty sure one of them says somewhere.

Hi i can find out using wii brickblocker if the iso is on my hd but it wont read it from the dvd disc any ideas?

I think the only way is to copy the ISO onto your computer (time and memory consuming) and then try.

the problem im having is ive back up a canny few of my mates backups lol but there is 10 that wont play on mine but do on his and im wondering if, when my d2ckey was installed it hasnt been made region free? thats why i need to find out whats on at least one of these discs before i open my wii up.....

I don't think there is any reason why it shouldn't play on your Wii (other region games tend to work, or at least show some signs of trying). You should try obtaining your own backup and using that as different Wiis can be really finicky about different kinds of media. Some types will work on one console, some wont. The DVD-R's that seem to have the most success are Verbatims and Sony, but really its trial and error on your system.

Also don't update via a different region disc. It will semi-brick your Wii (just incase they work)
