if it was ok and now dont read backups its time to chage the laser...sometimes a bit more info on problem is beneficial

yep sounds like the classic laser needs changed scenario to me. mine messed up and i had to change mine. should work fine after that. oh and dont type in all caps... sounds like you are yelling.
