Wipeout pulse not loading

i'm running 3.52 m33-4. wipeout pulse, cso and iso versions do the same thing. sony screen loads for the game, then things go black and the psp shuts off. any advice?

Enter the recovery mode of your PSP :

however, i have seen a patch out there to make it run on 3.52m33 but i think it needs to be applied to a full 'scene' release dump
