my psp wont read umds or play games from xmb menu.

can anyone please help me with why my psp wont read umds as soon as I hacked it to 3.71m33-2 on slim psp it wont read umds and the mac address is gone as soon as i pop in a game it spin then frezzes and shuts off if anyone can helped that would be greatly appericated .also it wont rune game files in the xmb menu either like things i put on the psp memory stick in the gamefolder,it says THE GAME COULD NOT BE STARTED.THE REGION CODE IS NOT CORRECT.it only says this when i try to run a game from the game xmb but when i insert an actual umd it freezes then shuts off.idk wat to do

I am having the same problem with a PSP slim that i just started to fix. Does anyone know what or how to fix this issue.

Could be corrupt IDStorage, or a physically disabled laser. Either way, theres no way you can fix it.

EDIT: It is a corrupt IDStorage, just re-read the post. If the mac address is blank, the IDStoage Keys are corrupt, and the only way to fix it is if you have a NAND dump of the PSP that is now disabled.

yo man i was also having the same problem because i tried to downgrade ma slim psp to 1.50 and it all happened from there ya by the way i some how managed to play the homebrew applications but i am still unable to play umd and the wifi.........so if you would like to play homebrews...(homemister)google it..

hey blaze your keys are corrupted or missing anyway,,,,,,,i was having the same problem as you do but i some how managed to fix some bugs...if you want to know about it just reply back! ya one more thing don't forget to make a nand backup.and i consider you dont do anythiing until you know what you are doin otherwise it will create more problem to your psp.....just drop the reply and i will tell you what to do>if there is luck all the bucks can be fixed also////

i have a psp slim and it wont play any game. When I put the game in it does nothing and the scren turns blue with no writing. Can you help?

yup sure man now you dont have to worry dark-alex has released dc7 which is capable of fixing umd drive keys including the region key.
anyway first you have to provide me some information of your psp for eg. are you using custom firmware? how did this und problem occured?
