Not sure if this is right place to post this but I have recently bought a DVD player that had been modified to be Region 0. It defaults to German every time I put a DVD in. Anyone know how I can make it default to English?? It's easy enough to change but it's a pain to do it every time. Thanks!

A bit out of my field however, if it's anything like a PC DVD Drive, when it is new it's set to "0".

Try to find "setup", then set it to "Region # 1."

Region 1 is for North America; you should be all set then.

Of course if you purchased it in a Military PX, that might explain your dilemma and then you are on your own.
