I see your listings of 2 sheep burners. I was wondering how i can figure out what burner i had to see if it is a 2 sheep burner. I just used alc 120% for battlefield 1942 and road to rome . They all use safe disk and i followed the guide for burning it but when i go to load the game it does not load. Im assuming maybe its because of my burner .

You're a proud owner of a "1 sheep burner m8". Consider a Plextor Premium (52\32\52x) cd burner or a Plextor PX-708A dvd burner= "2 sheepers". If you can't afford the Plex dvd burner then grab a LiteOn LDW-811S, 411S or 401S.

As a test, uninstall Alcohol 120% and reboot your pc. I'll bet the backups won't launch from your dvd\cd-rom m8. Uninstall BlindWrite too (if applicable).

This is the exact reason why many purchase a "2 sheep burner" so they don't need software (of any kind) to play the pc\audio protected backups. I have 3 pc's in my home and it's much easier for me to make a perfect backup" so I don't have to install additional software to play the backup. "Now you know... the rest of the story"(Paul Harvey).... Good day!

i got a rough idea but hopefully he can answer that better for u...i just know that a 2 sheep burner has something built into it so you can burn perfect back ups where u dont need a program to view your burnable copys.

Very good question m8 and here's a short and simple answer.

1) 1 sheep burners write regular bit patterns almost correctly.
2) 2 sheep burners write regular bit patterns correctly.
3) All burners(cdrw) write EFM encoding (eight to fourteen bit modulation)
