Does anyone know what hte latest official and custom firmwares are and where i can get them?

Next time use the Mod and Firmware Section.

The latest Official Firmware is 3.90 which you can get from the Sony website. The latest Custom Firmware is 3.90 M33 and you can get the easy installer here
And if you have a Phat PSP install this it's the 1.50 Kernal Add-on v2 for the phat.
