Hello all...

For the last few years everything has been playing beautifully on the Sony DVD player, but our bedroom one died on us so thought I'd "upgrade" the main DVD and get a Samsung upconverting player so we're all set for when we get a new TV. Problem...I always use either DVD+R or DVD+R DL and booktype to DVD-ROM. It seems to like the booktyped DVD+Rs but it doesn't know what to do with the DVD+R DL...just hangs on "loading" for about :20 then gives up. Do you know of a good brand of upconverting DVD player that plays both booktyped DVD+R and DVD+DL? Should I take it back and get the Sony equivalent since the older Sony wasn't picky?
