burning large AVI file to VCD

Alright, so I downloaded a movie (700Mb) as AVI and try to burn it in Nero6 on VCD.
The problem is that when Nero decodes the movie to burn on VCD it is way to much for 1 CD.
My question is WHAT is the best and easiest way to go to do that.
Do I have to 'split' the movie, or can this be automatically done with some settings in Nero.
If so, how?
