I have Swap Magic 3.6, a Slide Tool, a PS2 version SCPH 50001, and a copy of guitar hero 2 that I customized.
Whenever I use swap magic to try and load my copy, then the "not a valid PS2 disk" error appears.
Now, I'm sot sure if its the type of disk I'm using, or whats on the disk, because I changed some files using a guide found on scorehero to make it so I could save, but I've also use three different disks:
PLEOMAX DVD-R x16 (didn't think this would work cause I got it at a 99 cent store, but gave it a try.)
Memorex DVD+R TDK DVD+RW (it says video on the disk.)
I hear memorex is the best, and DVD-R is the best, so should I get some of those, and if so, where can I get some?
Actually, TY(Taiyo Yuden) and Verbatim DVD-R's work best from my experience. PS2's tend to be inconsistent with their abilities to read +R media. (My Friend's can but mine can't).
Also, what software/method did you use to burn it?
ok i have actually gotten a gh2 custom disk and gh3 custom disk to work.
most ps2s dont read +rw or -rw for guitar hero custom
i use a fujifilmdvd-r im preety sure that its a crappy brand but it works and its cheap so wat eve. and i can save the game and i didnt do anything to it so thats wierd. make sure ur using the dvd version of swap magic lol and makke sure ur using dvd decrypter for it.
also just try to get the custom songs to work first then worry about saving and all that other crap like custom menus
oh and if u do get it to work pm me cause i have this really cool main menu but if u dont know how to change it then pm and illl show u
