MKV with WVC1 and DTS stutters

I use K-Lite Codec Pack 3.7.5, and ffdshow for video and audio output.

I have MKV movie files containing WVC1 video and DTS audio.

One of the movies "stutters" when it plays.
The video looks like it plays in slow motion, the DTS decoder light on my AVR flashes very fast as if the signal comes and goes, and the CPU usage is very high.

If I switch ffdshow DTS output from SPDIF to libdts the video plays fine, but obviously not in surround sound.

Any ideas if this is a ffdshow problem, mkv container problem, or something else?
