Can't play games. Why?

Hi guys,
I have just up the firmware to 3.90 and i tried to play some games like Wipeout Pulse, Super challenge 3 and there are errors. Any idea what happen and what should i do?

Im guessing that 3.90 is customed firmwared. Do u have a game in the umd tray, or set umd options to sony np9660, oe isofs, m33 drivers? You can access that info in recovery mode (hold R then turn on) or press select in xmb (if option is enabled in recovery mode)

I manage to get into the recovery mode but each time i click configuration, it will turn into a black screen and shut off.

what games and how are their conditions. UMD or iso? give more info!

press select on the XMB menu and the VHS will pop up just change the umd drive to the sony one

Hey! Sorry, im not really good with those terms. XMB means the screen shown when you on psp? Nothing happens when i press select.
I can't get wipeout pulse started. Games like luxor pharoah's challenge , final fantasy tactics, Disgaea Afternoon of darkness, crash of the titans and super challenge 3 just boot to my umd game instead of their own.
I tried to go into recovery mode but the system hangs when i select configuration.
