First off thanks to all who answered my questions. I was able to in 3 days buy an X360, and modify it. It works like a charm now.
I do have 1 more question, when it comes to backing up games.
I have downloaded a game (because new firmware or opening up my burner isnt an option) that i already have .... and xbox 360 games are huge ... so i dont want to re-download .... more to the point
I have 2 *.img files, instead of a *.iso and *.dvd file. How do i make the 2 img files a working Dual Layer ISO?
I figure extract them all to 1 folder and then turn them into an ISO, but Im new to the Dual Layer thing, and the *.dvd file is a mystery to me.
what extension do the image files have? If it were made correctly you would have had an ISO and a DVD file and not two image files.
Also what are the sizes of each file
Well can't help you merge layers since i have NEVER seen one come in that format. Obviously the site you get things from has shotty uploaders and will cause you a lot of headaches. Even if you could merge the two files i am not sure how you would do that and get the correct layer break number in the middle.

ya i realize that .... i guess this is ANOTHER download that needs to be aborted. I've downloaded 12 gigs worth of stuff, from different sites, and have nothing to show for it .... although the first one was my fault, got a PAL instead of NTSC.
Any tips on where i could go for better quality DL's for xbox games? i've never experianced something so popular being so hard to download before
No one can tell you where to download games, seeing that it is highly illegal not to mention against forum rules.
You want advice so you do not waste your time and discs then here it is. Spend $50 for the Kreon flashed Samsung DVD-Rom for your PC and make back up's by using original discs. That way you will have a good copy pretty much every time.
