I forgot to tell you the dvd format is dvd-r and dvd-rw in case that makes a difference.

Also a heads up if anyone is interested in a combo dvd/video recorder, it's by Sansui (vrdvd40050) I got mine at a Sears.com and I love it, you can tape from video to dvd and from dvd to video. I know it sounds like I'm selling, but; I'm not. I am just having such a good time with my new toy and I think a lot of people were waiting for this technology. I heard that Go Video will be coming out with one sometime next year (no date was given).
