I did this one R1 with DVD Decrypter. You may just have a bad disc. Try cleaning it first. I know it's a new movie but I have had some disc out of the box that would not rip until I cleaned them.

Amen to the great tips dialysis1 gave you. I always clean my new discs prior to backing up.If this does not work, then a laser lens cleaning may be in order. Finally, may need to return for an exchange ( bad disc ).
new drive HP DVD-1040 , cleaned the disc and get the same thing...
backed up many movies with current drive so must be a bad press then if nobody else is having trouble with it.... thanks
