Best Bet: HDAdvance of SwapMagic?

Hi there, I'll admit right off the bat that I am a noob. I've been reading the forums for a while now but still can't make up my mind about one question.
Thing is, I want to play my backups and to do that from what I gather I need a pressed original of HDAdvance or SwapMagic. If I can only choose one, which one should it be? Ultimate goal would be to get all my games on the HD and play from that: I don't really mind long loading times due to the PS2 not having USB2.

I would go with Swapmagic v3.8 as you could use that to boot an .elf file of HD Advance (available for free on the net). Meaning that you would be able to:
1) boot backups off your USB hard drive
2) boot backups using the laser
3) boot homebrew

Swapmagic truly is amazing.

AS WITH TAT YOU CAN BOOT THE HD LOADER IF YOU HAVE A CONFORTABLE USB STICK

it depends really if you have a fat ps2 you might aswell get the internal hard drive wid the network adapter that way the games may even load faster than normal cd/ dvd!

or if you have the slim (apparently mine got broken :( ) than you might aswell get the external hard drive (usb)
