We have a car thread. That's really enough for a forum as non-car-related as this one is.

I think cars are bit too far off from our core focus that it'd have to be a separate site completely that would focus on cars. And as there are already about zillion existing car sites, chances of getting one "off the ground" are rather slim, even with our existing traffic and promotion possiblities (our gaming site, Blasteroids.com being an example of this, even the push from aD hasn't yet managed to lift it off).

So, our expansion plans will, at least for the time being, be limited to the localization of AfterDawn to new languages.

Has anybody ever looked at the uk car mods sites??

No offence, but what a bunch of illiterate chav scumbags.. txt speak and moronic illegal modding of cars to show off and cause a public nuisance.. they should all get jobs instead of sitting about on the dole selling drugs and trying to look big in front of 12 year old kids on the park..

http://www.chavtowns.co.uk/

your average car modders are all listed there...... we have enough morons without encouraging the rest of them.

This isn't a car forum. We're not meant to go in-depth here. There is a thread, entitled something along the lines of "Your Ride", that deals with the members' cars and addresses minor mechanical and modified matters. Any more than that, and one needs to go to a dedicated car forum or a mechanic.

I'm a member of several Subaru forums, as I'm a devoted fan and drive an Impreza RS. I also cruise classic car and TDI forums for fun. Normally, linking to other forums isn't allowed, but seeing as these aren't in direct competition, I think it might be accepted:

http://www.rs25.com
http://www.dodgecharger.com
http://www.stlsubaru.com

There are also many links on those forums that will lead to other such places. Really, if you want a car forum, you need to find one specifically for your make, and possibly model, of car.

*edit*
The only real problem with car forums is that most of them aren't about simple repair or maintainence, but deal with idiots modifying their daily drivers, not weekend track/cruise cars, to suck more gas and pursue driving that endangers the well-being of others. Honestly, unless you have a problem you might be able to fix yourself or are building a dedicated track car, about the best thing you can do is stay away from car forums. There's not enough petrol left in the world to feed the fandom for much longer, and most of the people refuse to be as responsible as they should be with their daily drivers.

Nevertheless, slang is more spoken than written. Basic English is universally understood by all who are fluent, and thus should be the dialect that is used on English forums in the name of maximum comprehension.

*edit*
I think one of your questions was along the lines of where Afterdawn is based...if so, it would be Finland.

Honestly, though, you can't tell anyone that it's harder to type "too" than "to" or "you" rather than "ye." Localisms and poor grammar will not help you online anymore than speaking Italian in China.

Way to point out the obvious, Scott. He'll never learn if you don't give him a tongue-lashing. :-P
