You have either an expired sim card or you never activated it. 90 days without activation and it is done.

If it was working 5 minutes in another phone before you put it into the 6230, just let it set for a while and see if it will register. The message normally means that the sim you're trying is expired and or not activated 99.9% of the time.

thanks nolimit, unfortunately it still says sim registration failed andi tried alot of different 02 sims, even currently working ones...

It may be possible that the 6230 you have has been barred from all networks and won't work with any sim you do try, including an active T-Mobile sim.
