Samsung DVD Drive not staying closed!

I just finished softmoding my Xbox after installing a new HDD, everything worked fine. The next day I turn my Xbox on with the power button and the eject light starts blinking, it doesn't stop blinking and the dvd tray won't stay closed. Do I need to buy a new DVD drive, or is this something that can be fixed?
