Hey , I just purchased a brand new 360 arcade system . I noticed that as soon as I put on the new (unmodded) 360 it makes a short deep hum noise for a second and at the same time The screen flickers just before the xbox 360 logo comes on. No red rings. Is this normal with the newer systems? Because my othe 360 doesn't do this. Oh, it's hooked up to a panisonic tevevision( no HD). I also have a Nintendo Wii hooked up to the same television. ( It's on a different self.)Could this be interference or should I return it to the FYE( where I bought it). I have a 30 day warrenty from them IF the 360 is defective. What should I do?

Mine does the same thing. I get a quick flicker just before the logo comes on.

Perhaps is normal then. Is yours hooked up to TV 480 or HD TV 1080I/P

Mines is hooked up with component cables and at 1080i resolution. I'll be getting an hdmi cable soon and I'll let you know if it stil does it even with and hdmi connection.

I've had 4 systems so far and all of them do that. Dont worry its perfectly normal. You will notice that the sound is coming from the DVD drive.
