Hey guys, just a quick question regarding the PSNetwork. I bought Wipeout Pulse for the PSP upon its Canadian release (3 days ago), and when I try and go online, it asks for the Playstation Network account info. No problem. However I can't seem to find any way to sign up to the Playstation Network (other than UK) without doing it through the PS3.
Has anyone who is a US or Canadian resident been able to create an account without a PS3? If you have, I'd love to know how!

So without a PS3 I'm unable to create an account?? Man....Sony should really note somewhere the requirements for playing online...because now I feel I've wasted my money!
Ok, got an answer for anyone who's having the same problem!
Wipeout Pulse is a Europe-based game (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe), therefore ALL copies including US/Can copies refer to Europe when going online. The way to fix this is, go to uk.playstation.com, click on the PSP section, and click "Register". Then in the next window if you scroll down a bit on the left-hand side, you'll see "Create a Playstation Network Account" in red letters. Click it, and in the next page it will say "if you own a PSP click here". From there just follow the on-screen instructions until your account is done. After that, it worked perfectly!!
I'm guessing US and Canadian-based games (North American) don't need to rely on the Playstation Network to play online....am I right in assuming that?
