DVD-player can read an ISO file which 'copied' to a disc?

In Vista I don't need a burn software. All I do is 'copy paste' the file to the DVD driver and Vista 'burn' it to a the blank disc.

Now these are my questions.
I have an ISO file (which was ripped) on my hard-disk and I want to burn it to a blank DVD disc to watch it on my DVD-player.

1. Do I need a burner software like NERO? Or can I just use 'copy paste' in Vista to my DVD driver and then use it on my DVD-player?

2.Do I need to convert the ISO file to Video_TS folder?

3. Does a DVD-player manage to read an ISO file? Because I have been told that a DVD-player read Video_TS folder only (with empty Audio_TS folder)?

Unless vista has an some kind of system imbedded to handle iso files, which I highly doubt it does, just copy pasteing the iso wont work. DVD players cant read iso files.

I know that in XP, just burning extracting and burning the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders to a blank disk still wont result in a disk that a DVD player can read. Maybe vista is different but again I doubt it.

The best way to burn an iso is a program like Imgburn. Nero will work as well.

You need to burn the ISO to an Disc Image, you can't just drag-drop them in Windows explorer(you can, but it would be written as data and not playable in your stadnalone). You can use ImgBurn (the best you will find out there;free). No need to convert to a Video_Ts or anything. Audio_Ts folder is always empty, no use for it.

If you have nero, just right click on the ISO and choose "Open with nero Burning Rom". After you install ImgBurn, you can also right click on the ISO and choose "Burn with ImgBurn". or follow the guide.
