Just ran into a small issue lately. My analog keypad is not responding in the xmb on my 1001 fat. I am using 3.80m33-5 and can load to m33 recovery mode and start from a UMD disk and the keypad will work but if i exit to the xmb again it refuses to move anywhere. I think that i might have possibly semi-bricked it and was wondering if there is any "slim" based program that will convert my fat battery to pandora again so that i can do a fresh install of cfw on my fat. Im able to access the memory card on my slim but pandora battery creator etc will not run them because they are 1.50 based fw. Any ideas?

Well, you cannot use your analog in the XMB :)
That's standard for all PSPs :)
Even mine :P

Which means your analog works fine ^_^

You're cfw is working fine and no need to reinstall it :)

EDIT : Semi-brick means you can "ONLY" access the recovery mode of your PSP, you cannot access the XMB >_<
But in your case, you can access the XMB, which means you have a full working PSP :)

man im a nub didn't mean the analog keypad...i was speaking of the up-down-left-right arrows. as i said i can access recovery mode and if the psp boots to a UMD it works however when im in the xmb selection areas for things like "music" "video" "games" the arrow keys do not respond. Its not an issue with them being dirty as they work fine in recovery and disc selection just cant move around in the xmb to access things like system settings, memory card etc....

I possibly found the reason behind the keys locking up...apparently if i enable the m33 vsh menu it locks the keys...if i disable it in the recovery menu they work fine...im using a fat 3.80m33-5 possibly going to 3.90 cfw anyone mind enabling their vsh menu through recovery and see if the same happens to them as well?

Well, when you enable vsh menu, your D-pad doesn't work eh ??? o_O
Did this happen in any previous custom firmware ??? o_O

I enabled my M33 menu for my XMB and my D-PAD buttons work perfectly.

Maybe you didn't install the custom firmware correctly?

Why don't you reset the PSP using the Format Flash 1 in the recovery menu? It might work as it resets the PSP to its original state when the custom firmware was loaded onto it.

That may help or it may not help too >_< (Not sure)
Cuz When you put a custom firmware, files are written to "flash 0" >_<
Formatting flash 1 and resetting settings may not have any effect >_<

Well, it may be a custom firmware problem or it may be an ID storage problem too >_<

That's why I asked him whether this problem used to occur in any previous custom firmware ^_^
