xbox 360 boots to blue screen can anyone help

i downloaded the backward compatable xbox 1 update and burnt it to dvd installed it into 360 and now it boots to blue screen. Ive posted this before but have recieved no answers. I have the kitachi
drive gdr-212 v59 what i want to know is my xbox 360 dead or do i have to just reflash it or something else.
thanks to anyone whom try to help been on this for about a week now
and can play any backups

i not sure i follow if i call microsoft support how am i to tell them i have a flashed drive, i cant send it back in and i dont have any red rings of death.

Well, I wouldn't mention that. The fact is the backward compat. somehow messed up your 360. That's all you got to tell them.

I've never read of anyone getting a blue screen. Is it totally blue... or is there also writing? Also, have you tried taking off your hard drive and then starting the 360? That's where the back compat. is stored.

Yes i've removed the hard drive. Let me thank you for your help by the way. When i start the 360 the tv screen goes black as it should the green rings spin looking for controler. When it find the controler the tv screen goes blue only blue nothing else.
So i know the 360 is sending a signal to tv. but it seems that it losses it when controller is found.

ok heres an update for anyone that reads this, I found out after taking xbox apart that the update didnt do it , i put the box back together and it actually booted up and xbox 1 game, but only once and with neon blueish streeks behind characters and such. I then shut down and booted up again back to blue screen. Though it might be cord , but it wasn't. So now i'm doing towel trick.
