Jaman, the large distributor of independent films has said that they have struck a deal with TiVo to offer thousands of its titles from its extensive catalog to the DVR maker's subscribers. The deal would be very similar to the deal Amazon's Unbox has in place with TiVo customers. Jaman's catalog of movies will be downloadable to the DVR in SD or HD. Why can they not just create something new rather than just expanding their content. If they expand their content make it something that we have not seen before not something that you get from a competitor.
