What I would like to do is be able to see exactly what I see on my computer on my tv, but since I can't run a cable from the tv to the computer, I was wondering if I could do this through my ps3. I hear the PS3 supports ts streams, so would it be possible to use a screen capture app that outputs a ts stream in realtime, and then play that stream over the LAN on my ps3, with something like tversity or something similar? Would it work, or is there another easier way to do this?

If it is possible it would have to be done using Linux on the PS3, that's really all I can say with certainty.

Yes it may be possible,you can control someone elses computer from your computer even when your in a different house than the first PC,however Tversity wont do it.

The easiest way to do what you want is to connect the PC to a TV use an s-video cable on a standard TV or a vga cable with an HD TV.

the only possibilty would be with linux.
you can try rdesktop, its a remote desktop, it can access xp/2000/vista/2003 server from a debian based linux disto.
i'm not sure if it will run with the ps3's processor, but i use it on my
linux pc at home.
