Rip the DVD, run AOA, browse to the VIDEO_TS folder.
Select 'All Files' from the sub menu and highlight the relevant VOB files - usually, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc..
Select the desired output format, either as MP3 WAV or AC3.
Hey attar. AOA doesn't work with the files I'm trying to convert. When I hit the 'start' button, it shuts itself down. Does it matter that the files are PAL? Any other suggestions? Thanks gang
I've used it to extract the audio from a folder on the hard drive and direct from the DVD (including PAL).
You can try demuxing the audio this way (from a folder on the hard drive)
Run VobEdit > Click 'Open', select the first large VOB of the title (normally, but not always, VTS_01_1.VOB) the rest will come in at the same time.
Click 'Demux' > Click 'Demux All Audio Streams' (the audio file will be saved as an ac3).
Ok. I figured it out. It did extract correctly. Now the next question is how can I modify the times on the file. Apparently there are 4 files at 15:33 each. Yet the songs play on continously and cut off at the end of one file and begin on the next. How can I separate each song? Thanks
You can combine the VOB files into one using 'VOBMerge', then open it in AoA.
If you want to split the output from AoA into sections, you have to load it into the likes of 'Audacity', select the part you want and save it in the format you wish.
With VOBMerge, select the relevant VOB files, ensure they are in the correct sequence, and 'Merge'.
