I haven't used my PSP for over a year now, trying to upgrade from 1.50 to 3.90. From reading the forum I understand that I have to upgrade to 3.52 first. I followed the instructions, however I'm getting stuck at this step

6 - Go again to Games/Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute "3.52 M33UPDATE". You'll have to press X to agree to the installation.

When I get up to this step, I don't see an execute icon, I only see 2 corrupt file icons. I followed the instructions to the letter.

Something I'm missing here?

Have you run the "kxploitpatcher" application ???

Also, it's 3.52m33 and 3.90m33 :)
Well, telling 3.52 and 3.90 will make people believe that you're updating to the official PSP firmware >_<

Yes, I've already ran the permanent patch file. However, I after I create a M33UPDATE folder and put the 352.PBP, 150.PBP files in, disconnect the PSP and go to my memstick......

I only see corrupt file icons! One from the kxploitpatcher application, and the other I'm assuming is the M33UPDATE. I tried running the kxploitpatcher again, but I'll get a message saying that this firmware does not support this application - something to that extent.

Ahhh this is so frustrating, such simple instructions... but for some reason, something always goes wrong for me.

Well, that "this firmware does not support this application" shows after you've patched your PSP already :)

Well, format your PSP memory stick :)
But first, make a backup of whatever you want >_>

And after that, follow THIS guide :)
In that guide, you'll need not have to follow the "kxploitpatcher" part as you've already done it :)

EDIT : Download the files listed in that guide only >_<
The 3.52 and 1.50 firmware update files can be neglected though as you already have them >_>
