I have used these:
Dvdfab(Platinum, Gold, Freebee) error: Good movie quality but no sound...grr
Dvd Shrink error:Cylic Redundency
Dvd Decrypter error: Cannot remove protection...abort,retry or cancel
Dvdx2 error:Freezes
Madz CloneDVD error:CCS problem
CloneDvd error:Freezes
Any bright ideas on any good Dvd Rippers?
Ive wasted 25 blank Dvd-R's so far and it's driving me crazy.
P.S.
Dvd Shrink use to be my old fav but you know...
Out with the old and in with the new :)

I haven't run into problems with 'DVDFAB HD Decrypter' - perhaps because it's updated regularly.
But if when you check the output, possibly after shrinking to fit a DVD-5, and it has no sound, why burn the disk - or am I misunderstanding?

Start from scratch, I'm almost sure that the original disc has been damaged or misspreessed. All tools refrred by you are excellent.
Try also some free's offered by this site.

Clean your Dvd Drive out.
The tools listed work fine.
I use the combo of...DvdFab Hd Decrypter, FixVts, Dvd Shrink, and ImgBurn on most of my backups.
You may have a bad press. Exchange, try again.

7thStinger, wat do u mean by cleaning my dvd drive out...
Is that physically taking it apart or software related?
Cause thats scary as for the latter, any software hints, repair tools etc?
I'm using a external dvd writer...but don't think thats the prob, maybe i need a fix for my pc, ive ran several other apps and still find that theres no sound, picture yes.
I may have sound device prob, but original movies work fine.
Oh boy i feel like a mess...lol like my pc.
Time for a rest...lol me and my pc :)

No, brother 7thsinger means exchange the bad disc {press(ing)}. Return the bad dvd to store of purchase and exchange for like and retry backup with new disc.

What versions are you running?
been with DVDFab for awhile now and with the constant updates have had very few problems

Hello again, I'm running the latest apps...i've found that i get pictures but no sound when playing(using)media player...I fort it may be a problem with my device driver but no. I did further testing by converting my media to other than DVD formats eg .avi and totally freaked...I had pictures and SOUND, that was a relief(however I used a progie called Magic DVD Ripper).
I admit:
DVDFab Platinum is awesome however could I be wrong...
Is that shadowed part: In that space under Copying,
It has a green tick for Copy DVD-Video(VIDEO_TS folder),
The other 3 have shadows(no green tick) including__Copy DVD-Audio(AUDIO_TS folder).
Does that mean NO SOUND? Since i can't tick it, if so then this app only allows me to copy movies without sound...weird cause im not deaf.

downkload VLC player and try your "NO sound" output in that player...
it has its own codecs...
got a feeling wmp doesnt have mpeg2 codecs
