i have an xbox from japan and it will only play region free games. I was wondering how i can get the red rings of death in order to send it in and get a usa xbox. anyone?

wrap it in a towel and throw it in a box while its on...will sure enough overheat it and warp the heatsinks, thus leading to RROD

Idk about that wabashman the towel trick is made to melt them down and help them sink better you might end up fixing it better lol. But hey its worth a shot i mean you dont care anyways lol

I'd just send it I very much doubt they'll check it is RROD just that it's the correct serial and hasn't had the warranty voided and I don't think many even do that.

Ha just play it a few hours priceless. But ya he is right Im sure you can just "say it has RROD" like my good friend was saying in another topic and they should fix it worked for him =)

That's funny you said that cause ive got this one xbox that has been going rrod on me,well I did just what wash said to make it go rrod on me before i sent it in,well it has been trouble free sence then.It was so hot then you couldn,t hold it.lol It shut completly down plus when it shut down I restarted it hopeing to see Redring.But behold booted right up.

THERE IS RUBBER BAND that opens and closes the drive!
if you can push it off the pulley(paper clip or anything creative!), they wont blame you FOR ANYTHING!
and you'll get a new box hooray!
but your best approach is

Don't be glad, I was looking toward another new one.LOL I'll just wait it out Im sure it will quit again in the near future.It.s been running 10hrs straight.lol

well i wasnt really referring to you...i was referring to tripplete... or however you spell his name, dont feel like scrolling down to see it again. but im sure the overheating will get you RROD one way or the other.
