To get emulated games running at 100% speed you need a system a fair bit more powerful than the system you're trying to emulate, and you need near perfect coding. Daedalus is homebrew, one person's own work, which is on-going, you can't expect them to manage to code the emulator perfectly - ever, though with each revision the speed of emulation gets better, so make sure you have the newest version. Also set your CPU speed to 333MHz, turn off sound emulation and set a reasonable frame skip, that should help the game speed up a little. You most also appreciate that some games work a lot better than others; Mario Kart and Super Mario 64 are two games that are running pretty well, not full speed, but definately playable.
