Do you need to have xp or can you have vista to flash your 360?

well what method are you flashing? iprep, dosflash? if you use iprep it shouldnt matter what OS you have as you never really enter it to do the flashing. however, if you use the dosflash through windows there have been mixed results with vista, some have got it to flash others have not.

ohh ok becuase I booted up my comp from my usb and followed instructions but when I got to the part when i have to type in my serial it'll go but then it'll ask me for a drive and show 2 and I'll click on one and it'll just sit there and do nothing same with the other. I followed the hacking 360 for dummies thing and read. Im using iprep on vista. I cant get xbm to work. Plz help

I got a toshiba samsung ms28 and it'll go to the part where it says type in your serial and I type it in (im using iprep) and then it gives me directions but I cant type in my sata port thing or whatever im supposed to do it gives me 2 drives and I have to pick 1 or 2 then when I click on one it just sits there. Am I supposed to turn it on or...? I followed the hacking guide but still am confused.
