hello, i tried to install duo 3 ultra. when i finished the installation and put back my ps2 i tried turning it on and the green light turned on for about a second or two then turn back to red. i tried many times and still does that.. i removed the chip and now it does the same thing without chip.
what can be the issue?
i want to try the fuses just incase some of them popped. but the thing is that i dont know how to check them
i got the multimeter but i dont know what to put A with the line n dots or V with the line and dots or V with ~ or ohms, i dont know anything about multimeters and also if i check it, which one do i use and how do i know if the fuse is good or not.
thank you

i was checking a resistor or fuse idk wat its called on the Power supply and the number kept getting bigger and bigger, it didnt stop.. does that mean that the thing is not good? ill put a picture so u guys know wat im talkin aboout...

No_Name,
What you are looking at on that pic is a capacitor. The value goes up and up because when you have a multimeter across it, you are actually charging it.
The problem lies in the install. Look very carefully at all of your soldering. You prolly have a short or two. Or you have a wire in the wrong spot, or you have pinched a wire to ground when reassembling the console.
Check all of these things and let us know if you found anything.

I would say there is a short to ground somewhere.

=) thanks, then i suppose the Power SUpply is good =)
i checked all fuses (ps1,ps2,ps3,ps4 and so on)
they were all good, except one.
PS15, it doesnt show any resistance (or ohms) a diagram with all the fuses says that its the ENGINE EMOTION, have no idea what that means,
do you guys know a website where i can find that fuse, and also is there a way i can just bridge the fuse and check if thats the problem? or do u guys have another recommendations?
i removed the chip and sold it to this one guy, ill get a new one once i get my ps2 fix (that is, if i fix it =P)
thanks i appreciate all the help =)
