Hey i modded my ps2 a while ago it worked for a while like 2 months then i had to calibrate the laser for it to work so after like 1 month of doing that it doesnt read anything anymore even Original PS2 games and i here "clicks" everytime i put a game in my backups were dvd's with purple backs not silver backs someone said that might have ruined my laser is the laser gone or is the whole dvd drive bad Thanks for the Help

hey, did you calibrate your laser or you took it to a store etc? can be that the chip is broken

but with that clicks can be bad laser or dirty

mine is 1 yr old now never calibrate my laser never clean the lens etc

and i have modbo chip using smartbuy dvds

thanks for the response yah i calibrated it and cleaned it i think because i used cheap quality purple back dvd's it migt have messed up my laser. So u think that all i need is a new laser my number is scph-39001 so ill need a khs-400c laser right thanks
