banned from LIVE after playing Devil may Cry 4 original

I have moded box with 1.2X. I played backups and originals on LIVE for a year now, but yesterday I played original disc of Devil May Cry 4 it asked me to download a update from a disc which I did and after that I got banned from LIVE.

That's odd I haven't heard of any bans going on lately.Was your Xbox at any other firmware other than a ixtreme?Nevermind I see you have had it for a year,I'm willing to bet ya they just finally caught up to ya.You prob ran a backup in your xbox a year ago with missing files.Bummer huh

I got many backups, and they were all from originals, well done. I have xtreme 1.2 flash on it, and it was good so far. So I don't know how they were able to do it. But I heard there are hackers that use some software that gives them keys from good xboxes that they reprogram banned xboxes with it. It might be that someone stole identity of my xbox unit..Anyway I don't play on LIVE, I think it is not worth my $50 for 12 months.

Hackers aren't getting keys from other people's 360's w/software. You actually have to have the serial number, and information off of the bios of the chip i believe. Its a very complicated procedure, and requires you to have both 360's physically, and also that the other one never goes on live. I have heard of people who have been banned months after not playing backup's, it seems that there is some way they are either detecting the firmware, or keeping track of some where when you play a burned game. but if you have been playing w/a network cable plugged in your still connecting to live.

Like I said somwhere along the line you had a bad backup,the keron is'nt 100 percent all the time.Maybe never the only ones that know that for sure is Microsoft.Very doubtful that hackers got your key like in the post above said ,it is'nt that simple to do or else everone would do it.

And this is why I have yet to mod my 360. It seems no matter how careful you are MS can find you somehow. The risk is too high for me who plays on Live a lot.

Take a chance man, just think of how many backups you could be playing compared to your current assortment of games.

I did a backup of DMC4 and had no problems w/it. I have the old keron verson and I checked if it was stealth patched and it passed so backedup the copy to a dvd+r and poped it in my XBOX360. It asked for updates on XBL so I excepted it.Had no problems @ all. I think I even have the ixtreme 1.2v Thats the only version I have had on my XBOX360.
