Is there some kind of logo that flashes when you turn on the system?

Hami,

I would say you have a chip of the Duo series. Most likey a Duo 3 Gold. But there are many chips out there. Won't hurt to pop her open and check it out.

Mod your gaming console today!

Should be mounted somewhere on the mainboard (motherboard). Probably on the reverse side of where the big aluminum heat sink is.

Pressing circle+triangle takes me to mod chip's menu

"Infinity menu v1.75" but there is no matrix logo. Could it be a clone?

Try testing out some of the features it has using this tutorial. Should help you out in determining whether or not it is a clone.
Ex. try launching an .elf file using DEV1 mode or possibly DEV2 mode (if you have an extra HD handy).
